    I looked at this and compared it to the scroll saw at Hare & Forbes This one at Carbatec is $100 dollars cheaper, but it only has a 1 year warranty. whereas the one at Hare & Forbes has a 2 year warranty. If you want to spend $400 you can buy the Makita which comes with a 3 year warranty but I don't think it has a foot switch. The foot switch is something I want. Or there is always Ryobi that the cheapest but I purchased 2 Ryobi hand drills both are rubbish. So Ryobi are off my list. I hope this helps. Have a great day.

    This is by far the best SawStop CTS alignment guide. SawStop / TTS should hire you to design video instructions for them.

    Quite disturbing to see at 2:44 an excessively wide throat being used with a shallow piece of wood on the bandsaw. The Fence has two positions and can be set so the amount of exposed blade above the workpiece is minimised. The process demonstrated is really unnecessarily dangerous.

    My Grizzly G0771Z has set screws to help with the wing alignment but the manual doesn't say how to use them. Your use of the mallet is a good tip. I'll try that.

    Hi Dave, just watched your thorough review and am possibly going to purchase this sawstop which is marketed as a benchtop saw. I have the world’s smallest 3mx2m shop and usually move stuff outside to create space or work outside using my 900mm high mobile bench. I am concerned that the saw may be too high and thus impractical to use sitting on my bench.

    I just bought the saw a few days ago and set it up today. My machine was pretty well set up out of the box but I wanted to calibrate it to dial it in and use that as a means to get more acquainted with the machine. Your video made very easy work of that and in a way that matched my learning style. Just wanted to say that and thank you very much!

    Best full-feature product review I've seen in ages! Thank you for showing ALL the details of the setup / tuning process. Such a confidence booster for someone new to Saw Stop's technology! The CTS will be my next woodworking purchase. It will replace a really nice Craftsman granite-top cabinet saw (which I love) because that one just takes up WAY too much space in my "downsized" shop (half of a 2-car garage that also has a freezer and second refrigerator taking up "my" space), and because the safety features are so compelling on the Saw Stop. The CTS is the perfect combination of features and safety for my needs. Thank you again!

      @n0spam911 - I get that too lack of availability in Europe, but just interested if the SS was available in UK - what sort of premium price over the DW would you be prepared to buy it for out of interest? Extra £300 / £400 / £600 ? No trick question, just curious. Thx.

    • @n0spam911
      @n0spam911 3 місяці тому

      @415volts an extra 20% tax fee. Shouldn't be more as the production price is the same and shipping for bulk items around the world is pretty much the same. so I don't understand why the product in the uk are 200% increase

    • @415volts
      @415volts 3 місяці тому

      @@n0spam911 Thanks and 20% I get. But landed price is due to production being different for UK (we are 50Hz / 240v) and the big thing is we need CE, so all new guarding etc. That costs a lot. Then multiply that by UK sales volumes being way way less than USA just due to population & that is why factories charge a lot more for any UK/ Europe. Cheers.

    • @n0spam911
      @n0spam911 3 місяці тому

      @415volts CE should be as standard for any country. for the battery-powered tools, there will be no extra production. l. Only 1 pcb (voltage controller) that is different rest of the unit is running of DC motors so all the same standard. As per non battery ones. only different tranfoer. or whatever is called, im not an electrician 😀

    Hi Dave. Enzo here from near Blue Lagoon. I have the JNBX200P and it is the least favourite tool in my shop. I have watched your video 50 times and yet I get tapered stock and cannot plane the last 50/75mm of stock. I sometimes think that removing 0.5mm is too little so maybe I should be more aggressive? I'm confident the machine is adjusted correctly. Where can I get lessons in Perth? Thanks.

    The CTS and Jobsite Pro loose me with the small rip copacity . Most other quality jobsite saws go up to 30 - 32 inches. i'd have to spend at least another $300 to get a decent fence on those. The Dewalt goes to 32". If you used the blade guard or overhead dust collection with any saw, you're pretty safe from coming into contact with the blade. I have the Dewalt. It's ok. I'd prefer the Sawstop options among cabinet saws. For jobsite saws, I wish I went with the pricier Skill with worm drive.
